Material Notes:	Product Description: CSX691 specialty carbon black has a low surface area and provides formulators an alternative to lamp black. Key Applications: CSX691 specialty carbon black is an easy to disperse carbon black that can be used in a number of polymer and coatings applications, including: Tinting black in plastics Tinting black in liquid dispersions Infrared (IR) opacifier in expandable polystyrene (EPS) foams Product Features: EPS Foams: Morphology and surface chemistry are favorable for preparation and foaming of EPS foams Good infrared absorption characteristics for lambda reduction provide improved thermal performance compared to white EPS Designed to reduce interaction with other additives (e.g. flame retardants) in comparison with other carbon blacks Tinting Black: Low lot-to-lot variability facilitates consistent performance Easy to disperse Good tinting performance Information provided by Cabot Corporation
