Braskem FC31D LLDPE Blown Film Extrusion Polyethylene Copolymer  (discontinued **)
Categories: Polymer; Film; Thermoplastic; Polyethylene (PE); Linear Low Density (LLDPE); Linear Low Density Polyethylene (LLDPE), Film Grade; LLDPE/Butene, Film

Material Notes: The FC31D resin is a linear low-density polyethylene, copolymer of butene -1, produced by the solution process for blow film extrusion. It has excellent mechanical properties, especially hot tack. It contains processing aid, antiblock, slip, and antioxidant additives. Its applications include: general purpose pure or blends; and laminating and automatic packaging of solids and liquids. Recommended Processing Conditions: Pure - The FC31D resin should processed on specific extruders for LLDPE. The best results are obtained at a melt temperature within the range of 200 to 220ºC. Recommended blow up ratio: 1.8 to 3.0:1. Blends - The FC31D resin can be processed with LDPE on conventional extruders with a maximum ratio of 30%. The best results are obtained with polyethylene resins of low melt index. The recommended temperature profile for blends with LDPE is slightly higher than those ones for the conventional LDPE (10 to 20ºC).
