his alloy is considered to be a high strength solder. It has much higher creep strengths than the tin/lead solders. It is a good color match for stainless steel, and used with the proper flux will wet stainless very well. Sn96 is the eutetic composition, is very fluid, and will not bridge large gaps.. Joint clearances of 0.1 to 0.15mm (.003 to .005 in) are optimum, but larger variations can still produce sound joints. Flux is required and proper selection will depend upon base metals to be joined.
