Master Bond Super Gel 9AOND is a two component, urethane modified epoxy system that cures at room temperature and has a paste-like consistency. It offers softness and retains dimensional stability. It possesses thermal conductivity and very good electrical insulation values. Its softness optimizes the ability to retrieve components if needed. This can be accomplished with a sharp knife or razor blade. It has great handling properties: an easy to use two to one mix ratio by weight, good flow and a long working life. It has very low exotherm enabling it to cure many inches in depth if needed. Its hardness is very low, about 20-30 Shore A. The combination of its easy handling and cured properties enables this versatile system to be used in a variety of applications, especially the sealing of sensitive electronic parts and related components. It is particularly useful in those applications where softness and thermal conductivity are desirable. One specialty use for Super Gel 9AOND is for situations where the dampening of energy is required. The softness allows it to be easily repairable and confers it with thermal cycling and thermal and mechanical shock resistance. Super Gel 9AOND bonds well to an array of substrates, such as metals, glass, ceramics and many rubbers and plastics. It has a long working life of 6-8 hours depending on the mass that is mixed (the smaller the mass, the longer the working life). It has very good chemical resistance to water, oils and fuels. The color of both Parts A and B are light gray. After mixing, Super Gel 9AOND is a thicker paste with non-drip application properties. This multi-functional system is widely used in the aerospace, electronic, optical, electro-optical and other specialty industries where the unique blend of properties is needed.
