Material Notes: Maysyn S-168 is a high performance, oil rejecting synthetic fluid formulated for the most severe ferrous, as well as nonferrous, applications. Maysyn S-168 is designed to outperform EP-fortified soluble oils and semi-synthetics in most operations. Maysyn S-168 contains no chlorinated, sulfurized, or phosphorus containing additives. In fact, the product’s chemical composition, which provides its complete tramp oil rejection property, makes Maysyn S-168 incompatible with such materials. Maysyn S-168 possesses both low-foaming characteristics, even in dead soft water, and excellent hard water (600 ppm as CaCO3) stability. This makes it suitable for use across a broad spectrum of applications and water conditions, even Blanchard and/or Double Disc Grinding in all areas of soft water. Maysyn S-168, due to its excellent sump life, quick tramp oil rejection, and fine settling characteristics, make it an ideal coolant in either single sump machines or especially central system applications. Longevity is a key item with this product. This product is to be kept from freezing.
