Its nonslip surface is retained by just an occasional further application. Slippage of belts not only reduces the life of a belt but also results in a loss of energy because power does not get transferred efficiently to equipment. Although any tack surface would minimize slippage, a tack material would stick to pulleys and require more energy for release. Chesterton 730 Spragrip delivers a non-tack material with a high coefficient of friction. This provides the most energy efficient, non-slip surface for all belt-dressing needs.
