Composition: 80% 2-mercapto-benzthiazol, 20% EPDM/EVA binder and dispersing agents Use Characteristics: An accelerator Konson® MBT-80 which is most frequently used for NR, SBR, IIR, and CR. It is used independently or together with basic accelerators. Konson® MBT-80 is a semi-ultra, multi-purpose accelerator with a long plateau effect. It provides vulcanizates with good physical properties. In sulfur-free compounds Konson® MBT-80 acts as an anti-scorch agent, in CR compounds as a retarder. Konson® MBT-80 is activated by basic accelerators as aldehyde amine and guanidine etc., and by thiurams and dithiocarbamates. Processing Advantages: The thermoplastic, excellent compatible EPDM/EVA binder which is combined with active dispersing promoters allows much more easily and quickly incorporation and excellent dispersion in the rubber mixing. In this way, optimal activity of the effective MBT is assured. Dosage levels: NR and SBR: primary: 1 - 2 phr with 2 – 3 phr Konson® S-80 Secondary: 0.5 – 1 phr with 0.2 - 0.3 phr Konson® TMTD-80 and 1.5 phr S Sulfurless: 0.5 phr with 3 - 4 phr Konson®TMTD-80 IIR: 0.5 - 1 phr with 0.5 - 1.5 phr Konson® TMTD-80 and 1 - 2 phr sulfur. Applications: Mechanical articles of all kinds, e.g. treads, carcasses, air hoses, conveyor belts, driving belts, hoses, cable insulations. Information provided by Konson® |
