Material Notes:	Thulium Carbonate has specialized uses in ceramics, glass, phosphors, lasers, and also is the important dopant for fiber amplifiers. Thulium potentially has use in ferrites, ceramic magnetic materials that are used in microwave equipment. It is used in arc lighting for its unusual spectrum, Thulium is put into euro banknotes as a measure against counterfeiting. It can also be used in portable X-ray devices that has been bombarded in a nuclear reactor as a radiation source. Applications: glass, phosphors, lasers. and also is the important dopant for fiber amplifiers.
