Master Bond EP41S-F Two Part Epoxy
Categories: Polymer; Adhesive; Thermoset; Epoxy; Epoxy Adhesive; Epoxy Encapsulant, Unreinforced

Material Notes: Key Features:
  • Very fast curing; quick handling time
  • Excellent electrical insulation properties
  • Impressive physical strength properties
  • Convenient processing, gun dispensable
Product Description: Master Bond EP41S-F is a two component epoxy system that features a number of desirable properties. It combines rapid curing, good chemical resistance and top notch electrical insulation properties. EP41S-F has an easy to use 100 to 25 forgiving mix ratio by weight. It polymerizes rapidly after mixing and typically can be removed from a fixture in 20-30 minutes. Its cure time at 75°F is 24 hours, and at 200°F it is 45-60 minutes. To obtain optimum properties, curing overnight at 75°F followed by 1-2 hours at 150-200°F is recommended. Typically faster curing epoxies are somewhat less chemically resistant than other types of systems, but EP41S-F is one of the few exceptions in that regard. It withstands many groups of chemicals quite well, especially oils, fuels, water and hydraulics. EP41S-F is 100% reactive and does not contain any solvents or diluents. It also has minimal shrinkage upon curing and bonds well to a wide variety of substrates including metals, composites, ceramics, glass and many plastics. EP41S-F is very well suited for use in small sized encapsulating applications. The color of Part A is clear and Part B is amber. The service temperature range is -60°F to +250°F. This versatile epoxy can be used in aerospace, electronic, chemical processing, especially including lining of tanks and other chemical equipment, where the desirable combination of fast curing and superior chemical resistance is advantageous.

Product Advantages:

  • Non-critical mix ratio of 100 to 25 by weight
  • Easy to apply, especially by brushing, dipping or by gun dispenser
  • Very fast curing at ambient temperatures; relatively short fixture times
  • High bond strength to many different substrates
  • Excellent electrical insulation properties
  • Available in many different colors
