Akrochem AKROCAL™ 80 Dispersion
Categories: Other Engineering Material

Material Notes: Product Description: Akrocal 80 is a dispersion of a fine particle size calcium oxide in a naphthenic binder. It has the consistency of putty.

General Recommendations: Akrocal 80 is used at levels of 5.0 to 10.0 parts per 100 of rubber. As a moisture scavenger, Akrocal provides protection against blistering and porosity. Addition of this product should be towards the end of a single pass mix or during the second pass. One variable important in determining the use level of Akrocal is the time of the year. Those months which bring high humidity in a plant may require larger amounts of Akrocal to provide the protection needed to produce acceptable product. The filler loading and type of filler, as well as the mixing procedure, are also important factors.
