Alliance BCS-5 Samarium Cobalt Compression Bonded Magnet
Categories: Metal; Electronic/Magnetic Alloy; Nonferrous Metal; Cobalt Alloy

Material Notes: Samarium Cobalt Compression Bonded Magnets are one of the newest types of magnetic materials and are made by compressing an epoxy coated SmCo magnet powder into a final shape and then heat treating it. The result is a high density material which produces a higher magnetic output than by injection molding. Although compression molding provides greater flexibility in geometry shape and size, they do not provide the range of complex geometries which can be achieved by injection molding.
