Ensinger PEI
ChevronTexaco ISO 220 Industrial Oil EP
Categories: Fluid; Lubricant

Material Notes: Features

Chevron Industrial Oils EP are multipurpose oils for industrial service.

Chevron Industrial Oils EP are designed to help minimize wear in all types of plant lubrication and also provide long lubricant life.

The high quality, high viscosity index paraffinic base stocks which are compounded with a carefully balanced additive package provide maximum protection to all types of equipment.

Chevron Industrial Oils EP have excellent oxidation stability to withstand high temperatures above 100°C (212°F) frequently encountered in modern industrial machinery. All grades pass more than 1500 hours in the ASTM D 943 Oxidation Test.

The thermal and oxidation stability of Chevron Industrial Oils EP means long lubricant life in a hot dirty environment where temperatures are high and oil contamination from water and process acids are common.

The high alkaline reserve of Chevron Industrial Oils EP helps prevent deposit formation and protects antifriction bearings and other steel parts from the corrosive effects of acid and water.

A high level of detergency fights deposit formation and helps keep contaminants dispersed in the oil. A unique acid-displacing rust inhibitor provides these oils with the qualities of preservative oil.

A highly effective stray mist-control additive minimizes formation of stray mist in oil-mist lubrication systems without interfering with the formation of the desirable condensable mist droplets.

An effective foam inhibitor hastens the release of entrained air and surface foam, which, if present in the oil, could reduce film strength or cause pump cavitation.
