Product Description: Akroform ZBED-70/EPR/P is a 70% dispersion of Zinc Dibenzyl Dithiocarbamate in an EPR polymeric binder. It is non-staining and non-discoloring and is safer processing (longest scorch safety) than other Zinc Dithiocarbamate type accelerators. However, ZBED is a typical Ultra-Accelerator at normal curing temperatures. It is also useful as a secondary accelerator for the continuous vulcanization of butyl rubber extrusions. ZBED has found usefulness in minimizing harmful nitrosoamines. The N-Nitroso dibenzylamine produced during cure is relatively non-extractable, non-volatile, and has been found to be noncarcinogenic. Advantages: Polymer bound or encapsulated dispersions are a proven means of upgrading plant safety, efficiency, quality & raw material control. Akrochem polymer bound or encapsulated chemical dispersions eliminate any irritating dust, as well as other potential hazards in handling powders in the plant. The physical form is easy to handle and weigh accurately. With a dispersion, better uniformity of the mix at lower processing temperatures is possible. Information provided by Akrochem Corporation |
