Material Notes: Instruction: Phenolic resin 2402 is a kind of thermoplastic phenolic resin synthesized from para-tert-butylphenol and formaldehyde by polycondensation in acidic medium. It is soluble in oil and can be blended with various kinds of synthetic rubber.

Chemical Name: Para-tert-Butylphenol Formaldehyde Resin

Molecular Formula: (C11H14O)n

Application:

  • With good compatibility with chloroprene adhesive, it can be used to produce chloroprene rubber adhesive and it is especially applicable to the adhesive for shoes.
  • It can be used as a curing agent for rubber such as butyl rubber, natural rubber, styrene-butadiene rubber (SBR), especially applicable to sulfurizing butyl rubber.
  • In coating industry, it can be used to produce end coating for external use, lacquer for floor, marine coating, antirust paint, water-based printing ink, and can be used asmaterial of thin film anti-rust oil products.
