Specialty Compounds RTP Company
Borealis LE0865 LDPE
Categories: Polymer; Thermoplastic; Polyethylene (PE); Low Density (LDPE)

Material Notes: LE0865 is a natural, modified polyethylene compound containing a mineral filler. It is especially designed for standstill or as a shutdown compound. LE0865 does not stick hard to metal surfaces and is therefore easy to remove by purging, or mechanically with e.g. a brass tool. The heat stability of the compound prevents thermal degradation that can result in oxidized particles that may be formed during extruder standstill. The compound has been demonstrated effective in allowing weekend shut down of film extrusion lines without dismantling for cleaning.
  • Does not stick hard to metal surfaces
  • Allowing weekend shut down of extrusion lines
  • Excellent heat stabilization
Applications: Purging and cleaning resin
