Teflon® PTFE 35 fluoropolymer resin aqueous dispersion is a negatively charged, hydrophobic colloid containing resin particles, 0.05 to 0.5 mm in size, suspended in water. The dispersion nominally contains 35% solids, by weight, and is stabilized with 2.5% of an anionic wetting agent. Teflon® PTFE 35 is used for cocoagulation with various fillers to produce products with a range of strengths, porosities, and colors required for numerous applications. Its properties in finished articles include inertness to nearly all chemicals and solvents in commercial use, stability at high temperatures, excellent dielectric properties, the lowest coefficient of friction of any solid material, and unusual nonadhesive characteristics. Chemours was formed from former DuPont performance chemicals businesses, including DuPont Fluoroproducts, in 2015. |
