ChevronTexaco Alcaid® 220
Categories: Fluid; Lubricant

Material Notes: Texaco Alcaid® oils deliver value through:
  • Low pour points that permit oils to remain fluid at subzero temperatures.
  • Ready separation from water, an important property where severe moisture conditions exist.
  • Good solvency assists in removing oxidized oil deposits from circulating oil systems and engine Crankcases during flushing

Texaco Alcaid oils are general purpose lubricants.

Texaco Alcaid oils are light-colored oils that posses excellent natural low pour points, along with low carbon-forming tendencies and good natural film strength

They can be used in circulating oil systems, low pressure hydraulics (<1000 psi), and refrigeration compressor applications where low pour points and good oxidation stability are important considerations.

Texaco Alcaid oils do an excellent job where customers desire a low cost product for noncritical applications,

Texaco Alcaid oils are recommended for older industrial machinery using "once-through" lubricators such as bottle, wick, drip, sightglass feed, or waste-pack oilers

Texaco Alcaid Grade 19 (ISO 22) has been used successfully as a quenching oil in some applications

Because of their high solvency, especially when heated, Texaco Alcaid oils Grade 19 (ISO 22), ISO 32, 46, or Grade 60 (ISO 68) are ideal as engine or circulating system flushing oils, as they effectively remove lightly oxidized oil from system piping.

Texaco Alcaid oils ISO 46 and Grade 60 (ISO 68) perform well in hydraulic rams or lifts such as some car hoists in garages and service stations where pressures are low

These grades are also occassionally used in underground hydraulic mining equipment where ambient temperatures are low and the lubricant is frequently replenished

Texaco Alcaid oils Grade 60 (ISO 68) and ISO 100 are also recommended for use as compressor lubricants because of their low pour points and good oxidation stability

Do not use Texaco Alcaid oils Grade 19 (ISO 22), ISO 32, 46, or Grade 60 (ISO 68) in high pressure systems in the vicinity of flames, sparks and hot surfaces. Use only in well ventilated areas. Keep container closed.

Typical test data are average values only. Minor variations which do not affect product performance are to be expected in normal manufacturing.
