Master Bond EP42HT-2LO Low Outgassing, Heat Resistant Two Component Epoxy
Categories: Polymer; Adhesive; Thermoset; Epoxy; Epoxy Adhesive; Epoxy, High Temperature

Material Notes: Key Features:
  • Remarkable chemical resistance
  • Resists up to +450°F
  • Meets NASA low outgassing requirements
  • Castable in thicknesses exceeding 2-3 inches
  • Room temperature curing
  • High strength properties
Product Description: Master Bond EP42HT-2LO is a room temperature curable two component epoxy, adhesive, sealant, coating and casting material featuring high temperature resistance along with outstanding chemical resistance. It cures readily at ambient temperatures or more quickly at elevated temperatures. EP42HT-2LO is a superior epoxy adhesive system and is castable to thicknesses exceeding 2-3 inches. EP42HT-2LO has excellent physical strength properties and dimensional stability. It has an easy to use 100:40 mix ratio by weight or 100:50 by volume. The cured epoxy compound is resistant to various types of fuels, oils, acids, bases, hydrocarbons and many solvents. EP42HT-2LO is an excellent electrical insulator. Especially noteworthy is its serviceability from -60°F up to +450°F. To optimize physical properties including heat resistance and low outgassing, especially if room temperature cured, a post cure at 200°F for 2-3 hours is recommended. EP42HT-2LO can be used in aerospace, optical, electronic, electro-optic and specialty OEM type applications. Since EP42HT-2LO passes NASA low outgassing specifications, it can be used in special situations, such as vacuum environments where that property is obligatory. The color of Part A is clear and Part B is amber clear.

Product Advantages:

  • Convenient non-critical 100:40 mix ratio by weight or 100:50 by volume
  • Outstanding physical strength properties
  • Excellent chemical resistance to acids, alkalis and many solvents
  • Superior thermal stability; serviceable up to +450°F
  • Castable to thicknesses exceeding 2-3 inches
  • Passes NASA low outgassing specifications
