Saint-Gobain CHR® A-2005 Industrial Glass-PTFE Backing Silicone Adhesive Pressure Sensitive Tape
Categories: Polymer; Adhesive; Tape; Thermoset; Silicone

Material Notes: CHR® A2005 is fiberglass fabric impregnated with PTFE dispersion and coated with high-temperature, pressure-sensitive silicone adhesive.

Features/Benefits: CHR® A2005 is a very durable and versatile product. The combination of PTFE, fiberglass and a high temperature silicone adhesive allows A2005 to perform in continuous temperatures up to 260°C. A 2005 is dimensionally stable and resistant to tear, punctures, abrasion and wear. It will not “cold flow” under heavy loads.

Applications: CHR® A2005 is frequently used by the packaging industry as a release surface on heat sealers, blister formation and form-fill-seal equipment. The durability and anti-stick properties of CHR® A2005 allow it to perform as an excellent release surface in the composite aircraft industry.
