Michelman® Michem® 2012B Water-based polyurethane-acrylic hybrid Dispersion
Categories: Fluid; Polymer; Thermoplastic; Adhesives, Sealants, and Coatings

Material Notes: Michem® Dispersion Urethanes are water-based polyurethane dispersions that can enhance toughness, scratch resistance, water resistance and flexibility of coatings. Michem Dispersion Urethanes are useful for industrial wood, concrete, and metal substrates. Usage: Provides abrasion, water, and blocking resistance and fast hardness development for floor coatings, parquet lacquers, and industrial coatings.

Applications (properties imparted): Concrete (abrasion resistance, block resistance, chemical resistance, hardness, water resistance), OEM Applied Wood Protection (abrasion resistance, block resistance, chemical resistance, hardness, water resistance), On-Site Applied Wood Protection abrasion resistance, block resistance, chemical resistance, hardness, water resistance). This dispersion is compatible with most common additives, pigments, and pigment preparations and can be combined with other emulsions. Due to the variety of products in the market, compatibility and storage stability have to be tested from case to case. Polyurethane thickeners can be used. Due to the minimum film forming temperature of this dispersion it is mandatory to add coalescing agents.

Handling: Ensure adequate ventilation. Handle in accordance with good industrial hygiene and safety practice.
