High strength combined with the highest modulus of elasticity of any copper alloy makes this a good spring material. Fairly high electrical conductivity, a corrosion resistance comparable to copper, and outstanding fatigue strength and wear resistance. Casting methods recommended for this alloy: Centrifugal, Investment, Permanent Mold, Plaster, and Sand. Applications: seam welder electrodes, projection welder dies, spot welding tips, beam welder shapes, water cooled holders, arms bushing for resistance welding, clutch rings, brake drums.Test specimen: as cast. |
