Solvay VTM® 264FRB Epoxy + CF1103 Laminate
Categories: Polymer; Thermoset; Carbon Fiber/Thermoset Composite; Epoxy; Epoxy/Carbon Fiber Composite

Material Notes: VTM264FRB is a black, flame-retarded, controlled flow epoxy resin matrices systems with a broad 65 to 120°C (150 to 250°F) processing window, offering low temperate initial cures or reduced total cycle times. VTM264FRB is formatted for a range of low cost, vacuum-bag pressure, composite molding processes, including ZPREG partial impregnation technology. VTM264FRB can be supplied on a wide range of reinforcements.

Features & Benefits:

  • Open vacuum bag curing
  • 30 days out life 21°C (70°F)-ZPREG formats may vary
  • 12 months storage at -18°C (0°F)
  • Self-extinguishing to FMVSS30/ISO3795/SAE J369
  • Flexible cure between 65 at 120°C (149 and 248°F)
  • Minimum initial cure temperature 65°C (149°F)
  • Maximum dry service temperature of 100°C (212°F) following suitable post-cure
  • Excellent tack and drape for easy lay-up of large structures, vertical surfaces and complex shapes
  • Compatible with all VTM260 and ZPREG260 series materials
The cured, unreinforced resin density is 1.22 g/cc. CF1103 is a 2x2 twill, 410 g/m² fabric with 6k fibers.
