Master Bond EP17 One Component Epoxy, Heat Curing Structural Adhesive/Sealant
Categories: Polymer; Adhesive; Thermoset; Epoxy; Epoxy Adhesive; Epoxy, High Temperature

Material Notes: Product Description: Master Bond Polymer System EP17 is a toughened one component heat curing epoxy resin system featuring high shear strength and very high temperature resistance. This one component system is formulated to cure at 300°F for 90-120 minutes or at 350°F for 60-90 minutes. EP17 has a tensile shear strength in excess of 3,500 psi. The service temperature range extends from -100°F up to 600°F. EP17 forms toughened and dimensionally stable bonds with minimal shrinkage upon cure. It is 100% reactive and does not contain any solvents or diluents. EP17 has a paste consistency. EP17 possesses high physical strength properties and is readily machinable. As a one part system EP17 is easy to handle. It does not require mixing prior to use and has an unlimited working life at room temperature. It bonds well to a wide variety of substrates including metals, glass, ceramics, vulcanized rubbers and many plastics. It has excellent resistance to a wide range of chemicals including fuels, acids, bases, oils and many solvents. The standard color is tan. EP17 is an excellent electrical insulator.

Product Advantages:

  • Single component system; no mixing prior to use. Long working life at room temperature.
  • Easy application; contact pressure only required during heat cure.
  • High tensile shear and compressive strength.
  • 100% reactive. Contains no solvents or volatiles.
  • Exceptional high temperature resistance. Serviceable up to 600°F.
  • Bonds well to a wide range of substrates.
  • Good electrical insulation properties and outstanding chemical resistance.
  • Superior dimensional stability.
  • Very low shrinkage upon cure.
  • Excellent toughness
