Material Notes: Synkad 202 is a water soluble, boramide corrosion inhibitor for use in synthetic and semi-synthetic metalworking fluids. Synkad 202 inhibits rust on ferrous alloys without foaming or forming hard water soaps. Synkad 202 is formulated into water soluble synthetic and semi-synthetic metalworking fluids to provide corrosion protection to ferrous metals. In addition, the presence of boron in Synkad 202 may aid in the inhibition of growth of bacteria. Synkad 202 should be stored in the original container or bulk storage tank at 60°-90°F. If frozen, it will reconstitute upon heating at 80°-100°F without mixing. Blending should not exceed 100°F.
