Chesterton 662 FG Barrier Fluid 22
Categories: Fluid; Lubricant; White Mineral Oil (WMO)

Material Notes: Chesterton® 662 FG is an ISO grade 22, high-performance lubricant designed specifically for mechanical seal applications. Dual mechanical seals rely on a premium grade lubricant to ensure greatest mean-time-between-failure, safe operation and to avoid product contamination. The 662 FG is a non-toxic lubricant that delivers superior heat transfer properties optimizing the seal environment. 662 FG does not contain dyes, additives, or heavy metals that could contaminate process streams or poison catalytic systems. The ultra clean 662 FG is designed to deliver premium thermal stability while minimizing abrasive particle wear of the seal faces and provide long life.

Features:

  • Clear, colorless, odorless
  • Convenient to use
  • High performance value
  • Cost effective
  • Saves time and labor
  • Superior heat transfer capabilities
  • High purity
  • Wide temperature range
  • Compatible with most fluids(mineral oil, PAO and Diester) (not miscible with glycols or silicones)
  • NSF H1 Registration number 143837

Applications: Bearings and mechanical seals have the tightest tolerances within a typical pump. The mechanical seal utilizes ultra flat sliding seal faces to make a reliable seal. As with bearings, mechanical seals require a clean stable lubricant to maximize performance. The 662 FG high performance formulations in combination with Chesterton’s high performance mechanical seals offer the most reliable dual seal package on the market today. Chesterton 662 FG has been extensively tested and designed to be compatible with common seal material use in industry. Designed for optimized performance in mechanical seals, this lubricant improves seal performance with or without pumping rings.
