Product Description: Proaid TOR is a 98°C softening point, low molecular weight rosin produced from natural, renewable resources. This rosin’s distinctive feature is that it is tall oil based and contains acid functionality (- COOH), making it compatible in a wide range of elastomers. This rosin (or natural resin) is appropriate for use in rubber products, sealants, coatings, adhesives and printing inks. Applications: Proaid TOR is utilized in rubber products as a low-cost tackifier and softener in hoses, belts, footwear, flooring and molded goods, etc. This rosin aids in processing of a wide range of elastomers compounds by increasing green tack, rate of incorporation of fillers, stock flow and improves knitting. Proaid TOR is not recommended for light colored stocks and typical loading range is 10 – 25 phr.
