| Krytox™ AUT 523 is a white, creamy grease based on perfluoropolyether (PFPE) oil and thickened with polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE). Krytox™ AUT 523 oils and greases are synthetic fluorinated lubricants designed for critical applications. Chemically inert and safe for use around hazardous chemicals, these lubricants are nonflammable, silicone free, and do not contain VOC materials or chlorine. Krytox™ AUT 523 oils and greases do not damage plastics or elastomers, nor cause corrosion to metals. Krytox™ AUT 523 is useful in non-bearing automotive applications, such as spark plug boot lubrication, O-ring assembly aid, and NVH elimination. As an O-ring assembly aid, Krytox™ AUT 523 lubricates and retains static O-rings during the assembly of mechanical or hydraulic components. It is compatible with a broad range of O-ring materials and will not harden excessively during service. O-rings lubricated with Krytox™ AUT 523 remain pliable, allowing for easy disassembly of the component and O-ring for required service, even after extended operations.
