Methyl ethyl ketone peroxide, solution in 2,2,4-trimethyl-1,3-pentanediol diisobutanoate with vanishing red indicator MEKP formulation used for curing promoted unsaturated polyester resins at room temperature. CAS number: 1338-23-4 EINECS/ELINCS No.: 215-661-2 Applications: Cadox M-50a DVR is a special purpose catalyst for the room temperature cure of promoted unsaturated polyester resins. Unpromoted unsaturated polyester resins can be heat-cured with Cadox M-50a DVR in the temperature range of 100- 127°C. Cadox M-50a DVR also has a high MEKP monomer content which may provide reduced cure times in some resin systems. Cadox M-50a DVR offers all the advantages of a red MEKP, except red parts. The DVR series of products includes a stronger VR red indicator system that virtually disappears during cure. The red is there when you need it, but not in the finished product.
