Unifrax PC Series™ PC Max™ Paper Ceramic Fiber Filtration Media
Categories: Ceramic; Oxide; Aluminum Oxide

Material Notes: PC (Porosity Controlled) Series™ Papers perform the following critical functions in all types of pyrotechnic automotive airbag inflator filters: (1) Provide efficient filtration of effluent gas by removing particulate matter through condensation and adhesion and mechanical entrapment. (2) Through the removal of high heat capacity particulate matter, these aluminosilicate filtration media significantly cool the gas stream before it enters the bag. (3) Consistently regulate gas flow into the bag ensuring conformance to the planned deployment sequence.

PC Max™ are filtration media formulated from high alumina chemistry fiber and developed for specific applications requiring temperature capability above that provided by typical ceramic fiber chemistries.
