A514 is an alloy steel grade, fully killed, fine grain. It is heat treated by quenching and tempering. The specification permits 18 compositions, of which Bethlehem produces Grades B, H and P. Its normal uses are industrial applications where high strength, low weight and high impact values are required. Machinery, mining equipment and other demanding applications.
