On NBR with high ACN: the higher the acrylonitrile content the better the oil and chemical resistance but poorer the low temperature properties. High acrylonitrile will have brittle points at -15C. Typical applications: - Aeronautical (good heat resistance, up to around 110 C)
- Oil resistant seals and diaphragms
- Non-latex gloves
- Rollers
Advantages: - Excellent resistance to oil
- Good resilience
- Physical and chemical properties dependent on the ACN content; the higher the ACN content the better the resistance but the lower the flexibility
Disadvantages: - Inferior to NR in terms of physical strength and flexibility
- Can be attached by ozone, aromatic hydrocarbons, ketones, esters and aldehydes.
