CRP Windform
CRP Technology Windform® RS Heavy Duty for SLS
Categories: Polymer; 3D Printing/Additive Manufacturing Polymer; Thermoplastic; Nylon (Polyamide PA)

Material Notes: Windform® RS is the tenth material of the Windform® TOP-LINE range of composite materials created, formulated and developed by CRP Technology for Powder Bed Fusion (PBF) process with composite polymers fibers-reinforced.

This composite material has a very high Tensile Strength (85.25 MPa) and at the same time excellent ductility (Elongation at Break of 9.46%) and low density (1,10 g / cc). It is resistant to water and liquid absorption down to just 1 millimeter part thickness and has been rated HB according to the flammability UL 94 test. The high resilience/strength properties allow it to withstand shocks at various ranges of temperature, even sub-zero (it has been successfully tested to – 40 °C, -40 °F)

Applications include:

  • Tough, heavy-duty parts withstanding harsh environments
  • Accurate, reliable, durable functional prototypes
  • Custom production and preseries parts
  • End use and mission-critical components for the most demanding industry such as Aerospace, Military, Robotics, Motorsports, Automotive and Marine.

Information provided by CRP Technology.

Key Words: Polyamide-based Carbon Fiber Reinforced Composite, 3D Printing, Selective Laser Sintering, Automotive and Aerospace use, low outgas
