Phillips 66 Dexron® -VI ATF
Categories: Fluid; Lubricant

Material Notes: DEXRON®-VI ATF is a synthetic transmission fluid approved for use in passenger car and light truck automatic transmissions that require a GM DEXRON® -VI or earlier generation DEXRON® fluid. It is particularly recommended for use in new GM 6-speed automatic transmissions, and is fully backward compatible for use in older GM automatic transmissions. DEXRON®-VI ATF is specifically engineered to help ensure long service life, provide better performance under extreme operating conditions, and provide consistent shift performance for the life of the fluid. It provides significantly improved oxidation stability, shear stability, friction durability and foam resistance compared with DEXRON®-III H fluids, as well as improved low-temperature performance.

Applications:

  • Service fill in all automatic transmissions that require a GM DEXRON®-VI or earlier-generation DEXRON® transmission fluid
  • Hydraulic systems on industrial and mobile equipment operating over a wide temperature range
DEXRON®-VI ATF is approved for service fill where the OEM specifies:
  • GM DEXRON®-VI (License No. J-60004)
DEXRON®-VI ATF meets or exceeds the requirements of:
  • Denison Hydraulics HF-0
  • Vickers (Eaton) M-2950-S, I-286-S
Features/Benefit:
  • Meets stricter performance requirements for new GM 6-speed automatic transmissions
  • Outstanding friction durability for consistent shift performance for the life of the fluid
  • Excellent oxidation resistance and thermal stability for long fluid life
  • Protects against sludge and varnish formation
  • Protects against wear
  • Protects against rust and corrosion
  • High shear stability
  • Excellent low-temperature properties
  • Good seal compatibility
  • Good foam resistance
  • Backward compatible for use in older GM automatic transmissions
