Material Notes:	Description Chevron EA6540 is a general purpose high impact polystyrene material developed for packaging and disposable applications. Its higher melt flow facilitates its use for extrusion and thermoforming. Chevron EA6540 natural complies with Food Additive Regulation 21CFR177.1640 for polystyrene and rubber modified polystyrene, which states that such materials may be safely used in contact with foods. Applications Chevron EA6540 is recommended for such applications as general food packaging, cups and lids for hot and cold drinks, and picnicware (bowls and plates).Information provided by Chevron Phillips Chemical Company. The Chevron Phillips polystyrene product line was transferred to Americas Styrenics in 2008.
