| Ekonol® Polyester is a thermally stable polymer. When combined with PTFE, it produces composite materials that have excellent temperature and wear resistance. The Ekonol® Polyester / PTFE blend is compatible with a wide range of mating surfaces. Its non-abrasive character enhances the frictional performance to prevent galling of softer mating surfaces resists better than any other PTFE compositions. Applications include packing sets, compressor ring sets, “O” ring seals and rotors or vanes of process pumps.
