Ensinger PEI
American Elements Silicon Oxide Nanopowder
Categories: Ceramic; Oxide; Silicon Oxide

Material Notes: General Description

Silicon Oxide (SiO2) Nanopowder, Silica Nanoparticles or nanodots are high surface area particles. Nanoscale Silicon Oxide Nanoparticles or Silica Particles are typically 5 - 100 nanometers (nm) with specific surface area (SSA) in the 25 – 50 m 2 /g range. Nano Silicon Oxide Particles are also available in Ultra high purity and high purity and coated and dispersed forms. Research into applications for Silicon Oxide nanocrystals includes use as a dielectric coating, in solar cell applications, as a high temperature insulator, as a gas sensor and for use in other coatings, plastics, polymers and wire and further research for their potential electrical, optical, imaging, and other properties Silicon Oxide Nano Particles are generally immediately available in most volumes.
