Mesoporous carbon is a new type of non-silicon-based mesoporous material with huge specific surface area (up to 2500m2/g) and pore volume (up to 2.25cm3/g), which is very promising in catalyst supports, hydrogen storage materials, electrodes. Materials and other aspects have been important applications, so they are highly valued by people.
