Master Bond EP42HT-2ND-2 Two component epoxy
Categories: Polymer; Thermoset; Epoxy

Material Notes: Key Features:
  • Convenient mix ratio
  • Long working life
  • Good chemical resistance
  • Paste consistency
Product Description: Master Bond EP42HT-2ND-2 is a room temperature curable two component epoxy, adhesive, sealant, and coating. It has an easy to use 100 to 40 mix ratio by weight or 100 to 50 by volume. It withstands high temperatures along with excellent chemical resistance. It is notable for its high glass transition temperature. The system cures readily at ambient temperatures or more quickly at elevated temperatures. The optimum cure is 8-12 hours at 75°F followed by 2-4 hours at 175-250°F. EP42HT-2ND-2 has good dimensional stability and low shrinkage upon curing. This compound bonds well to a wide variety of substrates including metals, glass, ceramics, plastics, and many rubbers. The cured epoxy has outstanding chemical resistance to various acids, bases, solvents and hydrocarbons. EP42HT-2ND-2 is also a superb electrical and thermal insulator. The service temperature range is from -60°F to 450°F. The color of both Part A and Part B is amber. EP42HT-2ND-2 is an exceptionally versatile system with potential applicability in aerospace, electronic, and specialty OEM, among other high tech industries.

Product Advantages:

  • Non-critical 100:40 mix ratio by weight or 100:50 by volume
  • Outstanding physical strength properties
  • Excellent chemical resistance to acids, alkalis and many solvents
  • Superior thermal stability; serviceable up to 450°F
  • Good gap filler
