Material Notes:	Description: Unsaturated Bisphenolic Polyester Polymer for Glass Fiber Sizing General Information: COIM has developed a range of polyesters for the treatment of glass fiber. These polyesters come in powder and emulsion form and are collectively known as FILCO®. The products in the FILCO® line serve to size glass fiber, to optimize the mechanical characteristics of the fiber, or to bind the fibers for the production of mat. Applications: Filco 354 N has been studied as a primary film forming component of glass fiber sizing for unsaturated polyester matrix strengthening. Consider the following special properties: good solubility in vinylic solvents good compatibility with other typical sizing component formulations good compatibility and wet ability with various unsaturated polyester matrixes good transparency of reinforced composites high impregnation speed of sized fibers during glass/resin composites working It is recommendable to use Filco 354 N in combination with metacrylic radical organosilanes for glass fiber sizing formulation for: roving for translucent sheets roving for weaving roving for chop/spray chopped strand mat with powder and liquid binder highly soluble in styrene Information provided by P.A.T.
