Master Bond adhesives
Danquinsa DANCURE® 999 Isocyanate Hardeners
Categories: Other Engineering Material; Additive/Filler for Polymer

Material Notes: DANCURE® 999 is a poly functional isocynate in powder form. This isocyanate powder serves for the curing of polyurethane- and Polycaprolactone based thermoplastic adhesive powders. By the curing of adhesive powders, a higher heat resistance as well as a better chemical resistance of the adhesive bonding is obtained. Immediately after the powder production DANCURE® 999 can be added to the thermoplastic adhesive powders for curing purposes. As long as the product is stored at a temperature below 50° C, there is no reaction. A reaction with DANCURE® 999 takes place in a temperature range between 80 to 180°C. Optimum curing temperatures are between 90 - 130° C. Even the production of 1KPUR- dispersion systems is possible with DANCURE® 999 isocyanate powder.

Application: As a curing agent, DANCURE® 999 is mixed to thermoplastic adhesives in powder form. The addition to the powder adhesive materials will be 3 to 10% to DANCURE® 999. Also the cross linking of OH-group based and aqueous adhesive dispersions or adhesive powder dispersion pastes is possible with DANCURE® 999. The amount of DANCURE® 999 added in aqueous systems is in the range of 3 to 8 percent by weight. Such aqueous solvable 1K-dispersion adhesive materials have a good storage ability. They will cross link only during the adhesive application.
