Hyperlite E-824 is a 5,000-molecular-weight polyoxyalkylene polyol, which is used in a broad range of urethane foam and other applications. Properties / Applications: Hyperlite E-824 is a 5,000-molecular weight polyoxyalkylene polyol, which is used in a broad range of urethane foam and other applications. This polyol is an ethylene oxide adduct of a polyoxypropylene triol. Because it contains a high percentage of primary hydroxyl groups, it has a relatively high rate of reactivity. It is compatible with most polyether polyols and can be blended with other diols, triols, and polymer polyols to achieve desirable modifications of product properties. Hyperlite E-824 polyol is especially suited for low-density rapid-demold high-resiliency (HR) foam. It is typically used in molded urethane seating applications. As with any product, the use of Hyperlite E-824 polyol in a given application must be tested (including but not limited to field testing) in advance by the user to determine suitability.
