Material Notes: Performance conductive additive for lithium-ion batteries
LITX 300 conductive additive for Li-ion batteries is designed to provide improved conductivity while also enabling mechanically strong and flexible electrodes for good stability and long cycle life. Due to its unique morphology, LITX 300 additive is easy to disperse and process during the preparation of electrode pastes. The excellent conductivity and electrode flexibility of LITX 300 conductive additive make it a good choice for Li-ion batteries with thick electrodes. LITX 300 conductive additive is typically added to the positive electrode in loadings of <1 wt% and higher, depending on the application.
Incorporating LITX 300 conductive additive into an electrode can:
  • Provide higher electrode conductivity
  • Enable thick but flexible electrodes
  • Improve battery cycle life
  • Reduce the amount of conductive additive required
  • Provide higher packing and energy density
