Hifax polypropylene resins based on the Catalloy process are used in applications such as building and construction (e.g., single-ply roofing), industrial applications (e.g., wire and cable), and automotive industries. Hifax priovides good processability, excellent impact resistance, a broad range of stiffness from very soft to rigid products, high temperature resistance and low linear coefficient of thermal expansion. Hifax CA 7271 A is a reactor TPO (thermoplastic polyolefin) manufactured using the LyondellBasell’s proprietary Catalloy process technology. It is designed for injection molding controlled shrinkage applications (e.g. bumpers). Hifax CA 7271 A exhibits high melt flow rate with good impact/stiffness balance and reduced shrinkage. The grade is available in natural pellet form. Applications: Automotive Parts, Body Panels, Bumpers, Exterior Automotive Applications, Exterior Trim, Polymer Modifier.
