Go Yen Chemical GY-FR-TPEE Non-halogen TPEE (Hytrel) Flame Retardant
Categories: Other Engineering Material; Additive/Filler for Polymer

Material Notes: Intro: TPEE(Thermoplastic Polyester Elastomer)is a block polymer which contains polyester hard segment and polyether soft segment. Polyether soft segment and noncrystalline polyester formation of amorphous polyester hard segment crystalline into micro region which make physical cross-linking point. TPEE is manufactured 1,4-butanediol (1,4-Butylene glycol) and poly-butylene glycol (Polytetramethylene glycol) and terephthalate (DMT) or terephthalic acid (PTA) for the condensation-copolymerization,and it is made by thermoplastic polyester elastomer composites via kneading program. Due to shortcoming for the structure of TPEE is flammable, especially the limited use for the ingredients of polyester and polyether soft segment and alcohols and esters of TPEE. Therefore, GYC technology department developed environmental friendly flame retardant GY-FR-TPEE for TPEE. When the GY-FR-TPEE added to TPEE, it will have fire retardant effect for rubber elasticity and the strength of fire retardant engineering plastics; Soft segment gives it elasticity fireproof structure, so there is resistance rubber TPEE all properties; Hard segment given Its processing performance, so there TPEE plastic fire performance; and rubber, it has a better processing performance and longer service life and fire protection; and engineering plastics compared to the same high fire intensity features, and flexibility and dynamic mechanical properties better. GY-FRTPEE enhances the added value of TPEE, and makes it have more superior fire properties. TPEE with flame retardant widely used in fire retardant wire and fiber coated housing and a variety of flameproof electrical appliances and automotive parts.

Advantages:

  • Excellent flame retardant properties
  • Thermal decomposition temperature (resistant to 300 ° C processing temperature)
  • Injection grade and extrusion grade of flame retardant TPEE
  • Long time flame retardant effect
  • Electric particularly good, suitable for a variety of electronic products
  • High stability
  • Environmental non-halogen products
  • good dispersion with TPEE elastomers (Compound)
  • Excellent voltage resistance characteristics
  • Very low coefficient of smoke
  • Improve TPEE elastomer oxygen index (LOI)
Applications:
  • Automotive Parts retardant Applications: spring, wire inside and outside the skin, ball joints bushings, bumpers, seat belt buckle housing, joystick housing
  • Mechanical parts retardant Applications: flexible joints, Vbelt, the belt, all kinds of pipes (such as hydraulic tube)
  • Motor, communication materials fire retardant
  • Applications: telephone cable jacket, the fiber coating, gears, cams, etc.
  • Other high-priced electronic / wire / cable and other products flame-retardant applications
