Material Notes: Sandvik SAF 2205 is a duplex stainless steel (austenitic-ferritic) characterized by:
  • Very good fatigue resistance
  • High resistance to stress corrosion cracking in chloride-bearing environments
  • High resistance to general corrosion, pitting, and crevice corrosion
  • High resistance to erosion corrosion and corrosion fatigue
  • Physical properties that offer design advantages
Service temperature: 100 to 300°C (150 to 570°F)
