Pyrotek Pyrocast AR Castable Refractory

Material Notes: Pyrocast AR is a fused silica castable refractory inert to liquid aluminum and its alloys. It is a high strength material offering resistance to erosion and mechanical damage. Parts cast from Pyrocast AR are heat-treated to ensure free and combined water are removed. Pyrocast AR floats in aluminum, minimizing the potential for refractory inclusions.
