| SLArmor is a process/material combination used to produce SLA parts consisting of a plated nickel over DSM Somos NanoTool. The parts are similar to die cast aluminum with excellent stiffness and high strength, and can be used for protoyping of cast metals parts such as Al, Mg, or Zn. The core material is a ceramic filled composite; parts are subsequently electroform-plated with a structural layer of nickel. Property data below is a for a system of 30% metal by volume, although geometry plays a significant role in the final properties of a real world component.
