Petroquimica Triunfo Trithene® TE 8088 MDPE - Thermal Shrink Film  (discontinued **)

Material Notes: The Trithene TE 8088 resin is a high molecular weigh product, with excellent mechanical resistance, along with good optical properties and increased stiffness. These characteristics ensure the production of packages with good appearance, low level of breakage, and elevated support structure during manual transport (the film remains firm even when picked up by the edges). The Trithene TE 8088 resin presents flow characteristics than ensure an excellent processability with conventional extruders for LDPE, granting low energy consumption during the whole process and allowing for the production of films with a good dimensional uniformity and an excellent surface finishing. The incorporated additives package warrants thermal stability during processing, low coefficient of friction (COF), and low static, which are indispensable for high productivity on the printing, cutting and welding, and shrink-wrap lines. This product complies with ASTM standard D1248-IIA5 and the requirements of Brazilian and corresponding legislation of Mercosul and it is in conformity with FDA Regulations 21 CFR 177.1520 (c) 2.1, to contact with foodstuff.

Applications: Technical shrink-wrap is designed for unitization of various products such as soft drink and mineral water bottles, soft drink cans, beers, paints, etc. Monolayer and multi-layer technical films (coextrusion or laminated).

Resin Properties: Compressed molded plate. Method ASTM D-1928, procedure C. Film obtained on a 50mm blow film line with barrier screw, 25:1 L/D, 1.0mm die gap, 50µm gauge, 2.3:1 BUR.
