Nurel Engineering Polymers ENOXITE® E10 Flexible Packaging Ultra-high barrier polymer
Categories: Polymer

Material Notes: Enoxite® E10 is an ultra-high barrier polymer that can be an alternative to EVOH in barrier structures. Soluble in water at temperature above 50°C. This could improve the quality of polymer recyclates. In multilayer structures, Enoxite E10 will dissolve during the washing step at recycling plants, where water tanks at high temperatures are used at washing stage before recycling. It is also suitable for blown and cast film. It can be processed on conventional equipment for EVOH.

Applications: Enoxite E10 is designed to be used as an oxygen barrier layer in packaging. It can be combined in multilayer structures with conventional polymers (PE, PP, PS, PA, PET). It is also appropriate in pasteurization applications up to 90 °C / 1 hour and multilayer films with Enoxite E10 in the middle layer can be used for contact with food depending on type of food, duration and conditions according to European directive N°10/2011. For further information please contact NUREL. Flexible Packaging PE Structures: Symmetric PE coextrusion structure of 50 microns: LDPE/tie layer/BARRIER/tie layer/LDPE
PE/PA Structures: Symmetric PE/PA coextrusion structure of 60 microns: LDPE/tie layer/PA/BARRIER/PA/tie layer/LDPE < br >Other type of structures that can be manufactured: Asymmetric PE/PA coextrusion structure of 55 microns: LDPE/tie layer/PA/BARRIER/PA
