Bohler-Uddeholm ROLTEC SF Cold Work Tool Steel  (discontinued **)
Categories: Metal; Ferrous Metal; Alloy Steel; Chrome-moly Steel; Tool Steel; Cold Work Steel

Material Notes: Chromium-molybdenum-vanadium alloyed steel

The ROLTEC SF steel grade is a high alloyed spray formed cold work tool steel offering a combination of high wear resistance, good resistance to cracking, and high compressive strength. The properties and manufacturing process make ROLTEC SF suitable for the production of forming rolls and slitter/shearing knives.

ROLTEC SF is characterized by:

  • High wear resistance
  • High compressive strength
  • High toughness
  • Good dimensional stability at heat treatment and in service
  • Very good through hardening properties
  • Very good resistance to tempering back
  • Good WEDM properties
  • Good surface treatment properties
